It’s that time of year again, football season is upon us! With the seasons changing, the boys of fall come rolling out of their respective tunnels and slamming into the field ready to play one of the most popular sports in the country. College football has a place in almost every sports-fan’s cable recordings. If your teams happen to be either member of the pac-12, USC or Utah State , you will be glad to know they will be playing each other again!
At their season opener, Alabama handed the Trojans literally it’s biggest season opening loss. One player stated that USC just didn’t take the game seriously enough and as a result they had their asses handed to them.
Utah State however, wailed on their first week opponents, tearing down the fields with plays that took the runners down the yard lines like a boss but the plays required very little precision. It will be a matter of finding out if their first week of play was genuinely skills, or just a fluke.
For their respective performances, each team has a shot at winning. Very few wild cards will need to be thrown out for either team to have a run away win. Both teams will have to the match up more seriously than normal.
USC has always been, and continues to be, an extremely strong team. Their defence is strong and when played against a purely offensive team, they are able to slam them into to the ground. However if Utah decides to bring their A game to the table, USC will wind up being very hard pressed to beat a team that is so strong. It will be interesting to see how the game plays out.
While both teams have potential, USC has a history of taking home the win, something I don’t see likely to change just because they are playing Utah. Though Utah is coming off of a very strong opening week, they will likely fold to USC by a moderate point spread. I am going to guess somewhere between a 7 to 4 point difference between them. Maybe a little more even. Especially of USC shows up and takes the game seriously.
Weather you are a fan of professional football and dedicate yourself to only watching the NFL or whether you are a died in the wool, die hard college football fan, this game will be an excellent match up between two teams that are used to winning. I’d recommend anyone who has any interest to take the time and tune in to find out how the outcome will fall, but I’d be willing to bet it ends up being an awesome game for both sides of the stadium.
Even if you don’t have the time to sit down and watch it while its going live, still it will be an excellent opportunity to put that DVR to good use and catch later in the evening! Tune in and find out for yourself if you think I’m lying.
